Modification Options

House Plan Modification

Plan modifications add custom touches that may better fit your needs. We want our plans to provide you with a home that you or your client will love for years to come.

Step 1

Select a home plan. Each plan’s page has a Modification Form Request.

Step 2

Prior to purchase, complete a Modifications Request Form and provide a detailed description of the modifications you desire.

Step 3

Within one-two business days our home designer will analyze your request, advise you where necessary, and will email you a free quote based on the estimated time your modifications will require as well as a time schedule for completion.

Step 4

Once you have approved the modification quote, you will then purchase the plan and we will get busy designing the perfect home plan for you.

Commonly Requested Modifications:

  • Adding a Floor Over a Two Story Area
  • Changing the garage entry orientation
  • Upgrading to a 3 Car Garage
  • Add or extend Porches, Sunroom or Deck
  • Change Exterior Building Materials
  • Reverse of Plan
  • Basement Foundation Plan
  • Making changes to non-load bearing walls
  • Changing kitchen appliance and cabinet locations
  • Adding or omitting a fireplace
  • Finishing unfinished storage space
  • Creating a new front elevation

A Word of Caution: Builder preferences and building regulations will vary. Even when builders are comfortable making changes in the field that are not shown on the drawings, this sometimes can cause delays if your local building inspections department requires that modifications be shown. In addition to reducing delays, having modifications shown also helps to avoid mistakes and oversights.
